Your journey, is now apart of our journey.
From your first class to your first competition, from white belt nerves to the quiet confidence that comes with time on the mat, every step of this path shapes who you are. At Kazoku Jiu Jitsu we believe the journey matters more than the destination.
This is where we celebrate that journey the coaches who have dedicated their lives to this art, and the students who show up every day, face their fears, and grow.
Whether you are just starting out or years into your practice, you are now apart of our journey.
Explore below a bit more about our coach’s and students journey.
Enjoy.
The Coaches
Meet the People Who Guide the Journey
Their passion, their experience, and the lives they have lived through Jiu Jitsu — Head Coach Ale and Coach Kim have trained at the best gyms in the world.
Ale Tsukamoto
Head Coach · BJJ Black Belt
Ale began his Jiu Jitsu journey in Brazil, training under some of the most respected lineages in the sport. Over two decades, he competed internationally and immersed himself in the art at academies across Brazil, Japan, Europe, and the United States — before founding Kazoku Jiu Jitsu Academy on the Gold Coast.
His philosophy is simple: Jiu Jitsu changes lives. Every technique he teaches carries the knowledge passed down from world champions, and every class is built to help students grow — physically, mentally, and as a community.
